When I say pigs in a blanket, you think tailgate or easy party appetizer right? Well think again because we are making breakfast! That is right, we are taking just 2 ingredients to make a salty sweet combo that is not only portable and so easy to make, but so delicious! If you have 15 minutes, you can have an sweet and savory amazing breakfast!
Breakfast Pigs in a Blanket
When I tell you these breakfast pigs in a blanket are SO easy to make, I meant it. I would say they are even simpler, if that’s even possible, than the standard ones! There is no cutting of crescent rolls here, and not even a ton of rolling, just a simple pinch. To being, pop open an 7.3 oz can of refrigerated cinnamon rolls. That size should be about 5 standard/small cinnamon rolls. You are totally welcome to use a larger package to make more, just make sure they aren’t the jumbo ones!
Set the icing aside and separate the dough into 5 disks. Using your fingers, flatten each disk so it is a little bit wider and thinner. Take one thawed, pre-cooked sausage link, and press it in the middle of the disk. Fold the dough over the sausage and pinch together to seal. Repeat this with all of the disks of dough, making 5 total pigs in a blanket.
Place each stuffed cinnamon roll onto a baking sheet lined with parchment paper and bake for 12-15 minutes or until golden brown. Once those are done, microwave the icing you set aside earlier for 20 seconds. Drizzle that warm cream cheese icing right over the top of those pigs in a blanket and serve immediately! Sweet, savory, and smothered in icing, what a great way to start your morning!
